Our annual flu clinic was held in the Old School Hall on 6 October 2018 and over 460 patients turned up to join us for this sociable occasion, despite the rain!
Our thanks to all of those who helped make it such a successful event: Our Patient Participation Group (PPG) volunteers who did a stirling job with the complimentary refreshments; representatives from AAA Screening (see website page for more information); Carers Support; and finally assistance with online access.
Our refreshments are provided free of charge, but many patients kindly offered donations and raised £27.68 which we will divide between the charities we regularly support including St Peters Hospice and Marie Curie.
Flu appointments are now available at the surgery for eligible adults and children so please book with reception.
This year there are 2 types of adult flu vaccine depending on your age.
Children aged 2 and 3 and those deemed at risk due to an underlying condition are seen at the surgery.
Please note that children in Reception and years 1 to 5 are seen as part of the schools programme and are therefore NOT eligible to come to the surgery. If they miss a vaccination at school or are unwell on the day, parents need to contact the number on the letters sent to them by the CCG detailing the schools flu programme.
The next annual flu clinic will be 9am to 12 noon in the Old School Hall on Saturday 12 October 2019 – keep the date!
