Almondsbury Surgery will be offering FLU and COVID vaccinations to eligible patients from October 2024.
We will contact eligible patients when appointments are available.
Eligible groups include:
- Care Home Residents
- Frontline Health & Social Care Workers
- Age 65yr+
- Pregnant women (FLU available from September / COVID from October)
- Under 65yr at risk with a chronic disease as listed below:
- Chronic Respiratory Disease
- Chronic Heart Disease
- Chronic Kidney Disease
- Chronic Liver Disease
- Chronic Neurological Disease, including Stroke or TIA
- Diabetes
- Immunosuppression
- Asplenia or dysfunction of spleen
- Close contacts of immunocompromised individuals
- Carers
- Morbidly obese (age 16+ / BMI >40)
- Children aged 2 or 3 years on 31st August 2024
FLU only from September 2024 (when vaccine becomes available)
School campaign – vaccine to be administered by schools, unless child in an at-risk group.
